M.A.T.C GUITAIR BAND & BOOMSLANG AT TATTENHAM RESORT

THIS SITE IS NO LONGER IN USE - Please visit www.eshoweguide.co.za

On the 13th September, Boomslang, a band from the United Kingdom, came to share their music with approximately 80 music lovers. The event took place at Tattenham Resort in Gingindlovu. Tattenham Resort is a beautiful quaint place that is great for that weekend escape that so many people look for in this busy life. It was a fantastic evening with the rain having let up and the moon out and shining bright. M.A.T.C Guitar Band opened the evening with their upbeat and lively music, after which Boomslang took to the stage. Both performances were thoroughly enjoyed with people taking to the ‘dance floor’ to dance the night away. Roline and Barry Saville who organized the event have used the event as a fundraiser for a young Richards Bay gentleman by the name of Stefan Beukes who is currently in Matric and suffering from Leukemia. The family’s medical aid has run out and they are in dire need of further funds to continue with the treatment for their son. A special mention must definitely be made to Roline and Barry Saville of Tattenham Resort who organized such a fantastic evening, The members of M.A.T.C Guitar Band, Derek Croucamp, Gary Pershouse and Morne Pretorius, and of course to the members of Boomslang for coming all this way, not forgetting the support staff and music crew who assisted with the musical set up for the evening. Should you wish to assist with fundraising kindly make donations to Standard Bank Randburg, Account number 033436932, Branch code 018005.

ESHOWE RUGBY CLUB END OF YEAR FUNCTION

The Eshowe Rugby Club held their end of year function on the 30th August. The guest speaker was Wayne Fyvie, former Natal Sharks and Springbok rugby player, who spoke about his life in rugby and gave some words of encouragement to the Eshowe Rugby Club players for next years season. It was a well-supported evening and all who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Well done to all the prizewinners and auction winners. We look forward to seeing everyone back for next years rugby season.
